A TV commercial to launch David Walliams’ new children’s book.

David Walliam’s is a No. 1 bestselling author and the creative had to reflect not just his very recognisable and loved tone of voice but also that of his new book - set in wartime Britain.

With exactly one month from client brief to delivery, we created, shot and produced a TV commercial just as the UK went back into its second lockdown.

This meant securing public locations during the pandemic, sourcing props when retailers were closed and ensuring that Harper Collins and David Walliams himself all felt safe during the shoot.
