We created the global launch trailer campaign for Netflix’s biggest drama ever, The Crown, an epic drama telling the story of Queen Elizabeth II and the British Royal Family.
Responding to smart audience data to create tightly targeted thematic pieces, we crafted a range of promotional material to air across all platforms, from mobile to cinema, translated into multiple languages.
In total we created over a dozen different edits of the main trail, focusing on different aspects of the Queen’s family and political circles, including an edit focussed on the relationships between Queen Elizabeth and her family. How do you choose between your duty as Queen and doing what’s right for your husband, sister and children?
The darker undertones of Peter Morgan’s brilliant script made for an intriguing and gritty trailer that delves into the politics of the series.
We used the series’ beauty and epic scale as the framework to show off the incredible reviews it garnered from the world’s press.

We’re also producing a series of info videos for The Crown’s global Facebook page. The videos are targeted around key plot points in the series including the story of King Edward’s abdication, launched on the anniversary of the event, 11th December.
