A specially-shot spot, produced in record time.

Telemundo commissioned us to create a concept-led spot to promote their new series - Malverde: El Santo Patrón - at the NBCUniversal upfronts. The show was still in production, so our team developed a 60-second spot using specially-shot material, cleverly intercut with the few scenes that the production team had made available.


Malverde is the story of Jesús Juarez, “the narco saint” who stole from the rich to give to the poor. Or so the story goes.



The concept played on the confusion around Malverde’s true identity. Melting wax reforms, in reverse, to reveal the iconic bust of our hero, sitting centrepiece on a devotional altar.



We worked closely with our partners at Anarchy to build a wax model of Malverde, before setting it alight and filming it melt in slow motion.
