Beazley Designs of the Year
A series of films to promote the most exciting competition in design.
Specialist insurer, Beazley, sponsors the Designs of the Year competition and exhibition at the Design Museum.
In its 10th year, the 2018 exhibition brought together over 60 global projects across six categories: Architecture, Digital, Fashion, Graphics, Product and Transport.
We were tasked with bringing Designs of the Year to life for Beazley customers, a diverse group of brokers and insurance sales people across the globe.
Our solution was to create a series of three films, each shedding light on the competition, the exhibition, and Beazley’s role in supporting innovation in modern design.
The first film explored what makes Designs of the Year such a unique and important event in the design calendar, featuring interviews with Curators.
The second film provided insight into the judging process and gave us a chance to hear from the judges about what makes a winner. The film features interviews with the judges, themselves a panel of luminaries from across the design world.
The final film focused on the awards night, which was hosted by Will Gompertz. The film introduces the category and overall winners to anyone not there on the night, and marks the significance of these winning design solutions on our future.
